Believing in Your real-world success

Students in our Nursing Assistant program will be provided the knowledge and skills necessary to assist a licensed nurse in the provision of health care. The content of the program is designed to meet the curriculum requirements of the State of California Department of Public Health.

Graduates from IOT’s Nursing Assistant program may be eligible to sit for their competency evaluation exam, apply for Certification with the California Department of Public Health and enter the medical field with the skills needed to provide compassionate and effective care.

IOT wants to see you succeed, and this means preparing you for a real world of health care through our hands-on training in Redding. IOT enhances your learning experience through a supportive network of peers and instructors.

Our goal is to help you to be successfully employed. Prior to graduation, we help our students with interview skills, resumes and cover letters. Upon graduation we assist you to connect you with employers by setting up interviews and networking in the labor market.

Your IOT classroom is where your role as a nursing assistant can begin through a real-world focus in areas such as patient rights, patient care procedures, observation and charting, vital signs, nutrition, weights and measures, and other patient care skills.

Graduates from IOT’s Nursing Assistant program may be eligible to sit for their competency evaluation exam, apply for Certification with the California Department of Public Health and enter the medical field with the skills needed to provide compassionate and effective care.
