Believing in your real-world success

Students in our Nursing Assistant program will be provided the knowledge and skills necessary to assist a licensed nurse in the provision of health care. The content of the program is designed to meet the curriculum requirements of the State of California Department of Public Health.

Graduates from IOT’s Nursing Assistant program may be eligible to sit for their competency evaluation exam, apply for Certification with the California Department of Public Health and enter the medical field with the skills needed to provide compassionate and effective care.

Hours of Instruction/Program Length

Students are required to complete 71.5 hours of classroom time and perform 100 hours in a clinical setting.

This is a private pay program. Payment plans are available.

ACCET Graduation Rate: 75%
ACCET Placement Rate: 17%
Placement Rate Methodology: All students who completed the program within 150% of the normal program length and were originally scheduled to complete the program. 0.0% of graduates (or 0 graduates), have been included in the placement rate calculation, who have completed training, but have waived placement assistance and are designated as waivers. ACCET has set a 15% maximum for the percentage allowed in the waiver column, all of which must be documented, including the student's signature, date, and notification of a specific reason for the waiver. Waivers that bring the percentage above 15% will be disallowed and will increase the number of eligible completions, thereby decreasing the placement percentage.

Graduates of this program are trained for employment in any of the following Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) Codes.
