The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing – IDL program prepares students in the knowledge, techniques, and procedures for promoting health and providing care for individuals and groups. You’ll learn how to support patients who are sick, disabled, infirm, or in need of ongoing care—while building professional nursing skills you can use in real clinical settings.
This program includes instruction in:
Administering medications and treatments (as appropriate to training and clinical setting)
Assisting with examinations and treatments
Supporting patient education for health maintenance
Referring patients to physicians and other healthcare specialists (as part of the care team)
Providing safe, compassionate patient-centered care
