“In 2009, I was looking to change career paths and came across an ad for IOT. I submitted a request for information and was quickly in contact with Sherri from Admissions and was invited to tour the campus. I immediately fell in love because it has the traditional college feel to it. The enrollment process was fast and easy, which is what I was looking for.
I took the Administration Office Professional course, which was offered at the time. As soon as I graduated, I was hired by IOT as a receptionist. I was able to learn and grow in that position while also assisting the registrar in some duties alongside front desk duties. Within a year, I was able to transition to Financial Aid Officer when a position became available.
In 2013, I decided to return to school and get my degree in Human Resources while working full time, both at IOT. I am proud to say, I graduated with honors. I absolutely love financial aid and really enjoyed assisting students. I am now working for the corporate side of financial aid with coworkers that are like family. Whenever I do get the chance to go to the IOT Modesto campus is like going home. Going to IOT was the best decision I could have made.”
