Nursing Assistant Program in Redding, CA

IOT’s Nursing Assistant program will give you the knowledge and skills to assist licensed nurses as a Nursing Assistant.

Your IOT classroom is where your role as a nursing assistant can begin through a real-world focus in areas such as patient rights, patient care procedures, observation and charting, vital signs, nutrition, weights and measures, and other patient care skills.

As a Nursing Assistant, you can pursue entry-level employment in a variety of health care settings, including the following:

Hours of Instruction/Program Length

The content of the program is designed to meet the curriculum requirements of the State of California Department of Public Health. Students are required to complete 71.5 hours of classroom time and perform 100 hours in a clinical setting.

Graduates from IOT’s Nursing Assistant program may be eligible to sit for their competency evaluation exam, apply for Certification with the California Department of Public Health and enter the medical field with the skills needed to provide compassionate and effective care.
