Unique Certification Options

As a certified IT Academy, IOT offers this program to give you the opportunity to earn certifications in four areas of Microsoft’s Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) infrastructure program and CompTIA A+ certification.

MTA Certification
The MTA program features three tracks, including IT infrastructure, Database and Developer. As a student, you’ll explore fundamental technical concepts, assess and validate your core technical knowledge, and enhance your technical credibility.

CompTIA A+ Certification
The CompTIA A+ certification program covers the maintenance of PCs, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems and printers.

CompTIA A+ certification is recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense and is a vendor-neutral certification that covers basic networking, installation and troubleshooting in a variety of operating systems, including Microsoft, Apple, Novell and Linux distributions.

CompTIA Network+ Certification
This certification is designed to measure your skill as a network technician. As part of the curriculum, you’ll practice managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, operating and configuring basic network infrastructures.

Short-term program

At IOT, you can earn your IT certifications, and complete the independent study requirement, in as few as 45 weeks. That’s less than one year! And because cloud computing and cybersecurity measures are tightening, the demand for trained professionals in this field is rising.

Hours of Instruction/Program Length

This program is 900 hours and 54.5 quarter credit hours. Classes are held Monday through Thursday for 45 weeks. An Independent Study component is included. See your admissions representative for available class times.
