With a balanced mix of classroom instruction and hands-on, technical experience, Institute of Technology’s Industrial Maintenance and Automated Technology (IMAT) program can prepare you for the career you want. Courses cover troubleshooting techniques and procedures for mechanical and electrical applications, as well as topics like:

Hours of Instruction/Program Length

This program is 1,400 hours and 92.5 quarter credit hours. Classes are held Monday through Thursday for 70 weeks. An Independent Study component is included. See your admissions representative for available class times.

Upon completion of the IMAT program, you will receive an Associate in Occupational Studies degree and be prepared to perform mechanical and electric repair, welding and preventive maintenance in industrial or commercial settings.
