What Program Graduates Say

  • “IOT helped me grow and develop my skills in pastry and baking and experience what it would be like to work in the industry by learning from the talented chefs at IOT. At IOT they walk you through every course and make sure you learn everything you need to know. I learned so much throughout the program that helped me excel in my career; for example, it helped me move up at my job at Crumbl Cookies to become Assistant Manager. Then I was given an opportunity to work at Disneyland Resort with the help of Josh from the career services at IOT to become a Candy Maker, which has been my dream for a long time. IOT helped me achieve the goals I set for myself and made sure I was prepared to head out in the industry.”

Jacquelyne Casillas – BPS, Class of 2021

  • “I graduated IOT’s Culinary Arts program with a 4.0 GPA in 2021. The program not only helped me gain confidence in essentials like knife skills and food safety , but challenged me to show up as a professional and to put my best foot forward in the fast-paced industry. Chef Jim Pacini, one of the primary instructors, takes pride in building students from the ground up and ensures they succeed even when the going gets tough. Because students are graded on work ethic as well as craftsmanship, the Culinary Arts program sets a high standard for all who complete it, creating well-rounded cooks upon graduation. I credit my time at IOT heavily to the success of my business, Audrey Aparicio Private Chef Services LLC. This is a program I would highly recommend to those who are seriously considering a career in the culinary industry. Because of my time at IOT, I am a successful and confident private chef and business owner who has cooked for MLB players and loved ones alike.”

Audrey Aparicio – CAD, Class of 2019

  • “I had been working in customer service, hospitality, and restaurants since I was 15 years old and I wanted to refine my technique and add a culinary degree to my resume. I came to IOT and obtained my degree through the Culinary Arts Program. I continued to operate my catering business while working at a five-star five-diamond property as a result of going to IOT. IOT helped me pursue my goals and gave me more confidence in my ability. The instructors were knowledgeable and pushed me to new heights. I am thankful for my education from the Institute of Technology.”

James (Jim) Pacini- Culinary Arts Degree, Class of 2010

  • "I was honest about my personal struggles with this school. They remained professional and yet, genuine and supportive. They somehow knew how to guide me in the right direction without telling me what to do. Maybe it was just that they simply gave me all the encouragement and opportunities I needed to succeed. The same opportunities as any other student, but It made me feel important. They gave me a reason to want to succeed. I couldn’t have done it without them. I will always be Grateful for my Teaching Chefs, and my personal cheerleaders, and I cherish my time at the Institute Of Technology.”
