Culinary Arts GRADUATE SUCCESS STORY – Bryan Fetzer
Chef Bryan Fetzer graduated from the Institute of Technology's Culinary Arts Professional program in January of 2011. He has always had an interest in the culinary arts, and worked in restaurants in multiple capacities throughout high school. After high school Bryan tried various occupations that allowed him to express his creative side, primarily in graphic and web design.
In 2010 Bryan was looking for the next step in his career, and decided to act upon an opportunity to enroll in the Culinary Arts Professional program at Institute of Technology. Bryan worked extremely had throughout his program, earning Dean's List and 100% Perfect Attendance. In addition, he began his cooking career while still enrolled at IOT as a cook for a local BBQ house.
Upon graduating Bryan wanted to expand his cooking knowledge, and moved on to a cook position with Slates Restaurant in Fresno, CA. Bryan worked for Slates for approximately one year before the opportunity to work for the Holiday Inn Downtown was presented to him. Bryan accepted a cook position with the Holiday Inn Downtown, and was very quickly promoted.
Today Bryan is the Executive Chef for the Holiday Inn Downtown and oversees all foodservice departments in the hotel.
